Laundry Sauce just got some serious love from our home state.
Ian Blair and I were officially named to the Top 10 Entrepreneurs in Arizona for 2025 by AZ Central.
I want to take a minute to talk about this. Arizona’s business scene is growing incredibly fast. We are not just a retirement destination anymore. The ecosystem here is absolutely exploding with talent. Getting recognized alongside some insanely talented founders is a massive honor for us.
The Danger of the Finish Line Mentality
I want to talk about what an award like this actually means for a brand that is in the trenches.
When you build an 8-figure business from scratch, people start paying attention. The local press wants an interview. The accolades start coming in. It is very easy to look at a list like this and think you have crossed the finish line. A lot of founders do exactly that. They get the plaque, they take their foot off the gas, and they start acting like retired gurus.
That playbook is cooked.
If you think an award means you can stop executing, you have already lost. For Ian and me, this recognition is just validation that our initial hypothesis was right. It proves that relentless focus on excellence actually moves the needle.
But we are just getting warmed up.
Injecting Soul into a Stagnant Category
Building a CPG brand is not for the faint of heart. Running a business is hard. We did not build Laundry Sauce by accident. We built it by ignoring the noise and focusing on the customer. We looked at a completely boring, stagnant category like laundry detergent and decided to inject actual brand soul into it.
We wanted to build something completely different. We wanted fragrances inspired by world-class houses. We wanted packaging that you actually want to display in your home.
Getting to this point required making a lot of hard choices. It required building a lean, special forces team instead of a bloated corporate hierarchy. It required staying grounded when the supply chain threw massive curveballs at us. It required leaning into AI and automation so our small team could punch way above our weight class.
And most importantly, it required knowing our ultimate goal.
The Vision: Every Laundry Room in America
Our goal is not just to be a top brand in Arizona. Our goal is to be in every single laundry room across America.
We want to completely change how this country does laundry. We want to take an everyday chore and turn it into an absolute experience. We are going full speed ahead until that vision is a reality.
If you are a founder who is currently in the trenches building your own brand, here is what I want you to take away from this.
Celebrate the milestones, but do not linger
You have to acknowledge the wins. It is important for your team and your own sanity. Take the night off. Go on a date with your spouse. Thank God for the opportunity. Then wake up the next morning and get right back to getting s*** done.
Stay obsessed with the product
Awards do not buy your product. Customers do. If your customers do not want what you are selling, no amount of PR will save you. Keep your hands dirty. Keep doing things that do not scale to ensure your product is best in class.
Ignore the critics
Critics do not know sh*t. When you start getting recognized, the haters will come out of the woodwork. They will tell you your market is too small or your pricing is wrong. Let them talk while you keep building.
Rely on your partners
I could not do this without Ian Blair. Having a co-founder who shares your work ethic and your vision is the ultimate competitive advantage. You need people in your corner who will tell you the truth and help you execute.
Never forget your foundation
For me, that is my faith and my family. My wife Ashley is my ultimate partner. Her goals are my goals. My drive to build a financially abundant future is entirely focused on serving others and enjoying the adventure with my family. If you lose sight of your “why,” the business success will feel completely hollow.
Just Getting Started
I want to give a massive shoutout to everyone who has been part of this ride so far.
To our investors who believed in us early. To our partners who help us execute daily. To our incredibly lean, incredibly hungry team. Thank you. We would not be on any Top 10 list without your relentless dedication.
Arizona is proving that you do not need to be on the coast to build a massive brand. The talent here is real. The hustle is real. I am proud to build here.
But like I said, we have a lot more work to do.
We are going full speed ahead.
Drop a comment below if you are building something right now. Keep going. Stay scrappy. Stay hungry. We are just getting started.
